🎯 Objective
We always aim to be generous and professional, especially with loyal clients. That said, these reshoots cost us real time and money — so our job is to balance great customer service with good business sense.
🚦When to Approve a Free Reshoot
Only approve a free listing refresh when:
- The request is reasonable (e.g., “Can you grab a better angle of the chandelier we just installed?” — not “We painted a wall” or “Got a new couch”)
- The original photo exists, but a better composition is being requested
- It’s clear this is not the photographer’s error
- It’s for a client with a strong history (high volume or high spend)
📌 Quick Reference — When
Not
to Approve for Free
Always charge if:
- The agent is requesting a new shot due to changes after the shoot (e.g., paint, furniture, staging)
- The client has no solid history with us or is a newer one-timer
- It’s a second or third request and they’ve already had a free reshoot
